In the first few sessions, I will take you through a comprehensive assessment and then we will set goals together for your treatment. Subsequent sessions will be used to work towards achieving your goals.

Each session is 50 minutes.

Think of our sessions like a private conversation. We start by just getting to know each other and making you feel comfortable. Some people find it helpful for me to ask questions, others prefer to just start talking and telling their story. I know that sometimes therapy can seem scary, and I always make it clear that you are in charge of the information you provide and we work at your speed.

My rate is $170 dollars per 50 minute session and payment is required in full at the end of each session.
I accept cash, personal checks or e-transfers and coming soon direct insurance billing.

I can answer any questions you may have and tell you a little bit about my practice to help you decide whether or not we are a good fit.

Registered Social Workers are exempt from collecting HST.

All cancellations need to be made at least 24 hours in advance or you will be charged for the full session. As well, if you arrive late to your session, we will still need to end at the allotted time and you will be charged for the full session.

Many private insurance companies cover the cost of services with social workers so please check with your individual provider.
As well, social work receipts can now be claimed under medical expenses for tax purposes.

Everything you talk about in our sessions will be kept confidential. Without your written consent, I cannot legally disclose any information to anyone who calls (including family members). There are a few exceptions to this. By law, I am obligated to report:
1. Any concerns about a child being hurt/abused/neglected or witnessing domestic violence
2. Any concerns I have about you harming yourself or others
3. I am required by law to give information if I receive a court subpoena.
